Between the Cascade and the Bazaar

Street scenes from Yerevan: markets, parks, the Cascade, and Republic Square.

A few days in Yerevan. I walked through the center, to the Vernissage market, the Cascade, and Republic Square. I photographed whatever I came across along the way: people on benches, vendors, children, cats.

Yerevan is well suited for this kind of wandering. Everything is close together, there are plenty of parks with fountains, and at the market you can sit down for a game of backgammon on a cardboard box.
